Private Equity Finance Operations Co‑op (Winter/Summer 2027)

About the role

The Private Equity Finance Operations team at BCI is hiring two co‑op/intern positions – one focused on Transactions and one on Reporting. Both roles provide a well‑rounded introduction to private‑equity finance operations, blending accounting fundamentals with data, technology and AI‑enabled workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Support transaction processing, including capital call/distribution notices, accounting allocations and payment instructions.
• Reconcile data across financial systems, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with investment closings, lifecycle events and related fee, expense and distribution activities.
• Monitor shared email inboxes, handle routine inquiries and route complex matters.
• Maintain document tracking, organization and retrieval for investment transactions.
• Enter and verify data in financial systems and help prepare meeting materials.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Business, Economics or related program.
• Detail‑oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong problem‑solving and professional communication skills.
• Demonstrated reliability, accountability and ability to manage fluctuating workloads.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools.
