Power Engineer - 4th or 5th Class

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Power Engineer (4th or 5th Class) to join our Langley asphalt production facility. The successful candidate will operate and maintain hot‑oil heating systems, support truck loading operations, and ensure safe manufacturing of asphalt products.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control hot‑oil heaters and tank temperatures.
• Oversee off‑loading and loading of trucks at the plant.
• Perform preventative maintenance on boilers, pumps, and related equipment.
• Assist in the manufacturing process of various asphaltic products.
• Follow all standard operating procedures and safety policies.
• Carry out general duties required to keep the facility running efficiently.

Required profile

• Power Engineer education with a valid 4th class steam ticket.
• Experience with high‑pressure boilers (strong asset).
• Ability to work in small teams, outdoors, at height and in all weather conditions.
• Reliable personal transportation and punctuality.
• Strong work ethic, resourceful and autonomous under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and solid organizational skills.
