Postmaster – Community Leader for Canada Post

About the role

The Postmaster is the public face of Canada Post in the Tadoussac community, responsible for delivering postal services, promoting products, and leading the local post office team.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with the local community to promote and sell postal products and services.
• Administer daily post‑office operations to meet retail hours and delivery expectations.
• Manage postal revenue, assets, and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Supervise, train, and assess the performance of staff members.
• Assist with the effective management of mail‑delivery routes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or provincial equivalent, with experience in business administration.
• Proven experience leading and directing teams.
• Experience interacting with the public in a retail or service environment, including sales and cash handling.
• Knowledge of regulations, methods, and procedures for processing mail.
• Physical ability to lift mail containers up to 50 lb, push/pull boxes, sort mail and stand for extended periods.
