Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Men’s Health (Part‑time)

About the role

The School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia is seeking a part‑time Postdoctoral Research Fellow to lead a photovoice study on older men’s spousal caregiving. The position is housed within the Men’s Health Research program and offers significant independence to shape the research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the ethics application and obtain approvals for the sequential photovoice study.
• Design, conduct, and analyze the photovoice research with older male caregivers.
• Develop and pilot‑test a gender‑responsive peer‑support group program based on study findings.
• Collaborate with the principal investigator and research team on project planning, data collection, and dissemination.
• Contribute to knowledge‑mobilisation activities targeting academics, health‑care providers, and community stakeholders across Canada.

Required profile

• Strong track record in research coordination and peer‑reviewed academic publication.
• Demonstrated commitment to an academic career in interdisciplinary men’s mental health research.
• Experience with qualitative methods, particularly photovoice or similar participatory approaches.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
