Postdoctoral Fellowship – Technology, Law & Society

About the role

The Peter A. Allard School of Law invites an early‑career scholar to join as a Postdoctoral Fellow focusing on the intersection of technology, law and society. The two‑year, applicant‑driven fellowship supports independent research that advances understanding of how law shapes and is shaped by emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an original research agenda in law and technology.
• Produce scholarly publications such as journal articles, conference papers, or working papers.
• Engage with faculty and students through seminars, workshops, or collaborative projects.
• Potentially teach a course or seminar related to the research focus.

Required profile

• JD, LLB, or equivalent law degree.
• Completed or substantially completed doctoral degree in law or a related discipline, within five years of award.
• Strong early‑career academic record with publications and a clear research plan.
• Not previously held more than one postdoctoral fellowship and not currently in a faculty position.
