Playback Systems Coordinator

About the role

Scarab Digital is seeking a Playback Systems Coordinator to plan and coordinate playback, graphics, and technical solutions for film and television productions. The role bridges production teams and internal technical crews, ensuring all equipment and graphics are ready well before cameras roll.

Key responsibilities

• Read scripts and revisions to identify playback, graphics, and technical requirements, then translate them into equipment, staffing, and schedule plans.
• Attend production meetings, technical surveys, and location scouts, acting as the primary liaison between Scarab and production departments.
• Coordinate equipment preparation, testing, rentals, transportation, deployment, and returns with playback operators and graphics artists.
• Monitor budgets, labour plans, equipment lists, and project timelines, adjusting plans as production changes.

Required profile

• Several years of experience supporting film, television, broadcast, live events, or similarly complex productions.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to anticipate technical risks and propose solutions.
• Eligibility to work in Canada.
