Film Production Project Manager

About the role

A bridge role that translates scripts and production needs into organized plans, aligned crews, and seamless on‑set playback execution. Scarabdigital seeks experienced set‑facing project managers to represent its playback interests on active film and television productions, building long‑term relationships across multiple shows.

Key responsibilities

• Break down scripts and revisions to identify playback‑related needs across scenes, sets, devices, and deliverables.
• Create and maintain annotated breakdowns, budgets, schedules, and tracking documents as production evolves.
• Plan labour, equipment, and support requirements for each episode or production phase.
• Coordinate equipment prep, pickups, returns, sub‑rentals, transport, and location or stage readiness.
• Communicate changes quickly to on‑set crew, creative team, and rentals, and ensure graphics packages and playback files match on‑set expectations.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of production, coordination, or set‑support experience in film, TV, or live AV environments.
• Strong organizational, planning, budgeting, and communication skills.
• Ability to think several steps ahead, solve problems before they appear, and make decisions with incomplete information.
• Commitment to safety, professionalism, and respectful collaboration.

Required skills

• Technical fluency with video playback systems, video hardware and software.
• Understanding of computers, network basics, and common on‑set failure points.
• Experience with Scriptation or similar script‑revision tracking tools.
• Familiarity with media‑server and screen‑graphics coordination.
