Pipelayer – Construction Projects in GTA

About the role

Clearway is seeking a Pipelayer to join its construction teams across the Greater Toronto Area. The role involves installing and maintaining civil utility pipelines for sewer, storm and water systems on a variety of project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and drawings to determine pipe layouts.
• Set pipe lasers, maintain elevations and install sanitary, storm and water mains, culverts, catch basins and manholes.
• Work in confined spaces to set up sewer lasers, bypasses, benching and parging of manholes.
• Perform excavations using open‑cut methods or shoring systems such as trench boxes, aluminum shields and slide rails.
• Coordinate with heavy‑equipment operators and use hand signals to ensure safe pipe installation and utility spotting.
• Train and supervise pipelayer helpers and handle various pipe sizes and material types.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience as a pipelayer on water, sanitary or storm systems.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and understand grades, slopes and soil types.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Willingness to become a member of LiUNA Local 183 Union.
