Picker / Boom Truck Operator – 25 Ton

About the role

We are seeking a Picker / Boom Truck Operator to join our Operations team in Dawson Creek, BC. Reporting to the Operations Lead, you will operate a 25‑ton picker truck on a pipeline construction project, working a 6‑day on / 1‑day off rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hoisting activities in accordance with lift plans and site procedures.
• Inspect rigging and ensure loads are secure before each lift.
• Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip equipment inspections.
• Collaborate with ground crew, signalers and supervisors to execute lifts safely.
• Follow all occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate equipment logs and related documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience operating a picker in construction or pipeline environments.
• Valid Class 1 driver’s licence with air‑brake endorsement.
• Valid crane operator certification (provincial or Red Seal, where applicable).
• Ability to perform lifts safely in challenging terrain and weather conditions.
• Current First Aid, H2S Alive and CCOS tickets.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada without restrictions.
