Physician Assistant – Canadian Armed Forces

About the role

The Canadian Armed Forces seeks qualified Physician Assistants to deliver primary and emergency health care to service members in domestic and overseas locations. As a member of the military health services team, you will work in fully equipped clinics, on ships, submarines, or remote field sites, supporting a wide range of operational missions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary health care to Canadian Armed Forces personnel.
• Deliver emergency medical care in both clinic and field environments.
• Promote health protection, education, and disease prevention.
• Practice environmental and hyperbaric medicine.
• Support occupational health and safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Certified Physician Assistant with current PACCC certification and registration in a Canadian province or territory.
• Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program (baccalaureate or master’s degree).
• Willingness to serve in the Regular Force or Primary Reserve, including potential relocations.
• Ability to work independently in isolated or austere environments.
