Pharmacy Data Specialist

About the role

The Pharmacy Data Specialist supports MediSystem Pharmacy by accurately entering and maintaining prescription and patient information in the pharmacy computer system. This role combines pharmacy assistant knowledge with strong data entry and communication skills to ensure safe and efficient medication processing.

Key responsibilities

• Retrieve faxed or electronic physician orders, prescriptions, and refill requests.
• Enter prescriptions, refills, and changes into patient records.
• Create new patient profiles and update existing records in the MediSystem database.
• Prepare prescription label printouts.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks as required, including communication with physicians and nurses.

Required profile

• Excellent organization and time‑management abilities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated with a focus on high‑quality client service.
• Accurate, detail‑oriented data entry capabilities.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including occasional weekends and statutory holidays.

Required skills

• Kroll (pharmacy software) experience (preferred).
