Pharmacist – Community Pharmacy

About the role

We are looking for a licensed pharmacist to join our locally owned pharmacy and provide health, beauty and convenience services to the community. You will be the primary point of contact for customers and health‑care providers, ensuring safe and accurate medication dispensing while delivering professional counselling.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist all customers, provide prescription counselling and over‑the‑counter advice while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
• Dispense medications accurately, verify prescriptions, and document all transactions in compliance with federal and provincial regulations.
• Manage workflow queues, monitor “will‑call” bins, and ensure expired stock is removed.
• Oversee inventory levels, place orders with wholesalers, and control access to the dispensary, including controlled substances reporting to Health Canada.
• Maintain a clean, professional pharmacy environment and support financial reporting as needed.
• Communicate with other health‑care professionals to coordinate patient care and file incident reports when required.

Required profile

• Independent decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience planning, coordinating and coaching pharmacy staff.
• Proven track record of driving business performance and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Strong professionalism, adherence to health‑and‑safety procedures and continuous learning mindset.

• Proficiency with pharmacy management software systems.
