Pharmacist – Acute Care Pharmacy (Full-Time)

About the role
This full‑time position is for a Pharmacist in an Acute Care Pharmacy setting. The role combines drug distribution, direct patient care, and educational responsibilities within a fast‑paced hospital environment.
Key responsibilities
- Review, clarify, and enter physician orders.
- Dispense medications and supervise pharmacy technicians.
- Answer drug‑related questions and provide pharmaceutical care.
- Perform medication reconciliation and patient counseling.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and on‑call activities.
- Educate pharmacy students and multidisciplinary staff.
- Oversee automated dispensing unit cabinets and initiate safety reports.
- Contribute to hospital and departmental committees.
Required profile
- Current licensure by the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- Recent experience in acute‑care or hospital pharmacy; residency preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer‑service abilities.
