Pharmacist – 4 days/week with occasional weekend shift

About the role

White Cross Dispensary is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join its independent, family‑owned team. The position offers a four‑day work week with one weekend shift every four weeks and occasional evening coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Provide patient counselling on prescription and non‑prescription medications, including indications, contraindications, adverse effects, interactions and proper usage.
• Dispense medications accurately while verifying therapeutic appropriateness and safety.
• Deliver expanded‑scope services such as medication reviews and injections within your competency.
• Maintain compliance with federal and provincial regulations, privacy standards and company policies.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records, including narcotic logs and controlled‑substance documentation.
• Assist with inventory management, including vaccines and biologics.
• Participate in community outreach and health‑promotion activities as needed.

Required profile

• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Prior community pharmacy experience (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Independent decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Fluent in English; French is an asset.

Required skills

• Kroll/Telus Pharmacy Software (preferred).
• Proficiency with pharmacy systems and computer applications.
