About the role
The Personal Support Worker provides compassionate in‑home care to clients, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment. This full‑time permanent position supports individuals in Oshawa and surrounding areas.
Key responsibilities
- Administer bedside and personal care, including bathing, hygiene, and dressing.
- Assist with mobility, regular exercise, and walking.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, plan therapeutic diets, and shop for supplies.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and clothing repairs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- First Aid Certificate and ability to pass a criminal record check.
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Physical ability to bend, crouch, kneel, lift, and handle repetitive tasks.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime.
