Permanent Grade 7-8 Teacher (English, French, Religion)

About the role

The Ottawa Catholic School Board is seeking a full‑time, permanent teacher for grades 7‑8 to deliver English, Core French, and French‑language Religion instruction. This position supports the Board’s mission to provide a faith‑based, inclusive education that respects diverse values and promotes deep learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum for English, French (Core), and Religion (French) to grade 7‑8 students.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment aligned with Catholic principles.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to support academic growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to enhance student outcomes.
• Participate in professional development and comply with Board policies, including Sexual Abuse Prevention Training.

Required profile

• Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
• Successful completion of the Ontario College of Teachers Sexual Abuse Prevention Training.
• Ability to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check (if not already on the OT roster).
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in line with Board values.
