Permanent French Kindergarten Teacher (Full-Time)

About the role

The Ottawa Catholic School Board is seeking a dedicated full‑time teacher to lead a French Kindergarten classroom. This permanent position supports the Board’s mission to provide an inclusive, faith‑based education that encourages deep learning for all students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver the French Kindergarten curriculum in alignment with Ontario standards.
• Create a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment that reflects Catholic values.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success.
• Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Participate in professional development and Board initiatives on equity and inclusion.

Required profile

• Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
• Successful completion of Sexual Abuse Prevention Training through OCT.
• If not already on the OCSB roster, ability to pass the OT interview process and provide a recent Pastoral Letter.
• For non‑employees, an original Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check dated within the last six months.
• Commitment to the Board’s equity, diversity, and inclusion principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency in French language instruction for early childhood learners.
• Classroom management and lesson planning aligned with the Ontario curriculum.
