Permanent French Kindergarten & Prep Teacher (1.00 FTE)

About the role

The Ottawa Catholic School Board is seeking a dedicated teacher to lead French Kindergarten and French Prep classes on a full‑time, permanent basis. This position supports a vibrant, faith‑based learning environment that serves over 50,000 students across 91 schools.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess French language curriculum for Kindergarten and Prep students.
• Create an inclusive, safe classroom that respects Catholic values and diverse backgrounds.
• Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and support staff to enhance student learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families.
• Participate in professional development and board initiatives related to equity and inclusion.

Required profile

• Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
• Successful completion of Sexual Abuse Prevention Training through the Ontario College of Teachers.
• Commitment to the board’s Catholic mission and inclusive hiring practices.
• Ability to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check if not currently employed by the board.
