Pension Benefits Consultant – Hybrid (Toronto)

About the role

The Pension Benefits Consultant is a client‑facing position within the Member Experience and Pension Operations division. The role provides pension education and guidance to members through phone and written communication, translating member needs into a high‑quality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate the benefits of the OPSEU Pension Plan and ensure members understand plan provisions, legislation and entitlements.
• Become knowledgeable about all aspects of the plan, including annual pension statements.
• Process the full array of pension transactions and manage a caseload within established service standards.
• Adhere to OPTrust policies, procedures and guidelines while fostering an inclusive culture.
• Collaborate across business lines to deliver a seamless member experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Client‑service work experience with a strong orientation to meet service levels.
• Effective communication skills, especially by phone, with sensitivity and tact.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Adaptability to change and collaborative mindset.
