About the role
The Regional Fertility Program is seeking a reliable part‑time Sterile Processing Technician to join our Calgary clinic. You will ensure that all medical instruments and trays are collected, decontaminated, sterilized, packaged, and delivered safely and on schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Implement daily and weekly cleaning and sterilization routines for the clinic (excluding IVF and Diagnostic Semen labs).
- Decontaminate, clean, lubricate, and sterilize instruments according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation.
- Monitor and order clinic supplies, manage inventory, and restock rooms.
- Maintain clinic equipment, including annual certification of autoclave, BI incubator, vital‑sign monitors, and AED.
- Assist the Medical Director with accreditation preparation and communicate any cleaning deficiencies to external cleaners.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail‑oriented.
- Previous experience in sterilization or instrument processing is an asset.
- Hepatitis B vaccination preferred; MMR vaccination required.
