Part‑time Sterile Processing Technician – Calgary

About the role

The Regional Fertility Program is seeking a reliable part‑time Sterile Processing Technician to join our Calgary clinic. You will ensure that all medical instruments and trays are properly decontaminated, sterilized, packaged, and delivered for patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Implement daily and weekly cleaning and sterilization routines for the clinic (excluding IVF and semen labs).
• Decontaminate, clean, lubricate, and sterilize instruments according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate sterilization records and ensure compliance with provincial guidelines.
• Monitor, order, and restock clinic supplies and clean laundry.
• Perform routine maintenance and annual certification of equipment such as autoclaves, incubators, vital‑sign monitors, and AEDs.
• Assist the Medical Director with accreditation preparation and communicate any cleaning deficiencies to external services.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail‑oriented.
• Previous experience in instrument sterilization is an asset.
• Up‑to‑date Hepatitis B (preferred) and MMR vaccinations (required).
