Part‑Time Elementary Teacher/Tutor (After‑School)

About the role

Oxford Learning Simcoe is looking for enthusiastic part‑time teachers/tutors to support elementary students (Kindergarten to Grade 9) after school and on Saturday mornings. You will work in a lively learning centre where lessons are pre‑planned and you receive full training on the company’s proprietary methods.

Key responsibilities

• Coach up to three students simultaneously, adapting instruction to each level.
• Deliver lessons in‑person (and occasionally online) following Oxford Learning’s curriculum.
• Complete post‑lesson notes and daily communication updates for each student.
• Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor and encourage a positive learning atmosphere.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable certification in a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of the Ontario Kindergarten‑to‑Grade 9 curriculum.
• Experience tutoring or teaching elementary students (formal or informal).
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
• Reliability, ability to work evenings (Mon‑Thu 4‑8 pm) and Saturday mornings (10 am‑1 pm) through the school year.

Required skills

• Multitasking ability to manage up to three learners at once.
