Part-Time Professor – Clinical Research

About the role

Seneca Polytechnic is seeking a part‑time professor to teach in the Clinical Research program within the School of Biological Sciences & Applied Chemistry. The role focuses on applied clinical research practices, including trial design, Good Clinical Practice, monitoring, regulatory compliance, and data analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver scheduled instruction (lectures, labs, applied learning activities) for up to 6 hours per week.
• Ensure students understand course objectives, instructional approaches, and evaluation methods.
• Provide academic support, mentorship, and guidance to students.
• Integrate real‑world clinical research examples and industry partnerships into the curriculum.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of the program.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in clinical research, clinical trial design, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience teaching or mentoring students in a higher‑education setting.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and engage diverse learners.
• Flexibility to teach on‑campus, online, or in hybrid formats as needed.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
• Understanding of clinical trial operations and data analysis methods.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for life‑science research.
