Outpatient Pharmacist

About the role

The Outpatient Pharmacist will join the Prescription Care Centre retail pharmacy team, delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients and customers while supporting the broader mission of Unity Health Toronto.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care and service to patients/customers of the Prescription Care Centre retail pharmacy.
• Offer drug information, medication counselling and support regarding health aids.
• Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians in dispensing prescriptions and overall pharmacy operations, including monthly Saturday shifts.
• Liaise with healthcare providers, external agencies and staff for patient care matters such as third‑party funding, special prescriptions and drug procurement.

Required profile

• Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Minimum one year of experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
• Preferably experienced with the ProPharm Nexxsys pharmacy computer system.
• Preference for completion of a pharmacy residency in hospital, ambulatory or community practice.
• Strong organization, communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and reliable attendance.
