Operations Training Specialist

About the role

The Operations Training Specialist joins Black & Donald’s Training & Development team to design, develop and deliver technical training that supports regional project management and operational excellence across construction, utilities and facilities management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise training initiatives, collaborating with business partners, technical experts and peers to align materials with learning outcomes.
• Develop and manage training project plans, including timelines, milestones, priorities and resource requirements.
• Provide training and support for core business applications and systems as needed.
• Design, develop and facilitate instructor‑led, virtual, classroom and e‑learning courses for new and existing employees.
• Conduct training needs analysis, create technical training materials, job aids, user guides and manuals.
• Incorporate participant feedback and evaluation results to continuously improve learning solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience developing business‑focused solutions within construction, utilities, service or facilities management.
• At least 2 years experience in construction, facilities management and/or utilities.
• Education in construction management, engineering, operations or a related discipline.
• Strong experience creating project plans and structured programs.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with proven presentation and facilitation ability.
• Ability to analyze technical information and translate it into practical learning solutions.
