Operations Supervisor – 12‑hr Rotating Shifts

About the role

The Operations Supervisor leads a plant crew in a 24/7 environmental services facility, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient execution of all operational tasks. Working 12‑hour rotating day and night shifts, the supervisor acts as the senior company representative on‑site during non‑business hours and supports the Operations Manager and technical support groups.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate team activities and monitor completion of operational work in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Provide hands‑on guidance, direction, and training to crew members, interpreting procedures and production status.
• Plan and organize workloads, resource requirements, and manage KPIs to meet performance targets.
• Serve as senior leader on the Emergency Response Team, mentoring newer team members.
• Ensure compliance with COR, ISO 17025, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 requirements.
• Maintain effective communication and relationships with peers, management, and other departments.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and develop a plant operations team in a safety‑focused environment.
• Experience working rotating 12‑hour shifts and acting as senior on‑site representative.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and certification standards applicable to water, waste, and energy management facilities.
• Excellent conflict‑resolution and communication skills.
