Operations Associate – Process & Customer Service

About the role

The Operations Associate will provide analysis, data verification and customer‑service support for complex, exception‑based processes within a designated Operations department of RBC. The role ensures accurate recording of information in internal systems and assists internal and external stakeholders with research and problem resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate analysis and processing support for exception‑based, complex, and highly specialized operations processes.
• Review, verify, and record data into technology systems that support departmental workflows.
• Liaise with RBC Business Units, external customers and industry participants to provide research, problem resolution, and information retrieval.
• Address escalated inquiries independently, escalating to Team Lead or Manager when required.
• Identify opportunities to reduce risk or improve efficiency by suggesting process changes and system enhancements.
• Train and act as a resource for other Operations team members.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in securities, banking, technology or a related industry.
• Either a 4‑year university degree or a high‑school diploma with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Strong independent work ethic combined with effective teamwork skills.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation.
