Operations Accounting Analyst

About the role

The Operations Accounting Analyst reports to the Director of Operational Accounting and plays a key role in analysing plant performance, supporting financial information needs across multiple manufacturing sites, and evaluating product cost budgets. This analytical work underpins improvement projects that aim to lower operating costs and boost overall performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse key production performance indicators.
• Perform cost‑price calculations aligned with project schedules.
• Maintain financial performance reports for production lines.
• Participate in the budgeting process and conduct monthly follow‑ups.
• Maintain monthly cost‑analysis reports for plants and liaise with plant managers.
• Support plants in calculating the return on improvement opportunities.
• Carry out ROI calculations for projects in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Ensure integrity of COGS data and follow up with stakeholders.
• Analyse inventory accounts and value products.
• Verify raw‑material consumption processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• CPA designation is an asset.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent bilingual communication skills (French and English).

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP (asset).

What we offer
