Operating Room Nurse – Orthopedic & Surgical Specialist

About the role

Lacroix Private Medicine is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join its dynamic surgical team in Laval. You will support a variety of procedures, including orthopedic, gynecological, ENT, urological, general, bariatric, and neurosurgery, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgeries across multiple specialties.
• Assist surgeons during total hip and total knee replacements and other complex procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergencies in the operating room.
• Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to protocols.
• Document surgical activities and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of operating room experience, with at least 2‑3 years in orthopedic surgery (THR/TKR).
• Completed nursing education (DEC or Bachelor’s degree) and a valid OIIQ license.
• CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Fluent French and intermediate English.
• Strong teamwork, vigilance, and rigor in task execution.

Required skills

• Proficiency in aseptic and safety protocols.
• Knowledge of AIISOC, CSA, and PCI standards.
• CPR and ACLS certification.
