Operating Room Nurse – Orthopedic Surgery (Laval)

About the role

Lacroix Private Medicine is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join its Laval surgical team. The position focuses on orthopedic procedures such as total hip and knee replacements, while also supporting a variety of other surgeries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for orthopedic, gynecological, ENT, urological, general, bariatric, and neurosurgical cases.
• Assist surgeons by ensuring sterile technique, handling instruments, and managing intra‑operative supplies.
• Monitor patient status throughout procedures and coordinate with anesthesia and surgical teams.
• Document surgical activities and adhere to AIISOC, CSA, and PCI standards.

Required profile

• Completed nursing training (DEC or Bachelor of Science in Nursing) with a valid OIIQ license.
• Minimum three years of operating‑room experience, including total hip and knee replacements.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Fluent French and functional English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of anatomy and surgical techniques.
• Mastery of AIISOC, CSA, and PCI standards and aseptic protocols.
• Proficiency in CPR and ACLS emergency procedures.
