Office Assistant – Admissions (Music)

About the role

The Admissions Office of the Schulich School of Music seeks a part‑time Office Assistant (C) to support daily operations. Working under the Admissions and Recruitment Officer, you will handle confidential student records and assist prospective students throughout the admissions process.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate information on admissions requirements, deadlines, and procedures for undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Respond to inquiries from prospective students, families, and stakeholders via email, phone, in‑person, and virtual platforms.
• Review and verify digitally submitted applications, flagging missing documentation for follow‑up.
• Assist with the administration of auditions, interviews, portfolio reviews, and other assessment activities.
• Prepare scholarship offer letters and related communications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Support special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.

• Demonstrated knowledge of music ensembles, repertoire, and performance activities.
• Basic proficiency in French is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
