Nurse II – Psychiatric

About the role

The Nurse II provides psychiatric nursing care within Prairie Mountain Health, delivering safe and effective services to clients across Manitoba. This position requires active licensure with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba and a commitment to high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate clinical nursing skills and concepts in accordance with approved nursing standards.
• Utilize computer and electronic software programs for accurate documentation and record‑keeping.
• Maintain positive working relationships with co‑workers and clients while providing compassionate care.

Required profile

• Active practicing licensure with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba or eligibility for such licensure.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) training.
• Successful completion of Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) training.
• Successful completion of Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).
• Satisfactory employment record and a Class 5 Manitoba driver’s licence with access to a personal vehicle.

Required skills

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
