Night Shift Sandblasting Operator

About the role

Join Safran Landing Systems in Mirabel as a Night Shift Sandblasting Operator. You will be responsible for preparing aerospace components for machining or plating by removing oxide layers and ensuring optimal surface conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Move parts using lifting devices and secure them on mounting fixtures.
• Install masks, tools, and follow technical drawings to set up each part.
• Operate robotic and manual sandblasting equipment according to defined procedures.
• Inspect finished parts for compliance with specifications and complete quality‑assurance documentation.
• Perform daily equipment self‑maintenance and conduct sand granulometry analyses.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

Required profile

• High‑school diploma (equivalence certificates not accepted).
• Experience in manual work within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail, precision, and ability to work autonomously.
• Physical strength to handle tools and work in a full‑body encapsulated suit.

Required skills

• Operation of sandblasting equipment (robotic and manual).
• Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Granulometry (sand analysis) techniques.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation.
