Network Operations Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Network Operations Administrator to manage and optimise a large-scale, multi-site network that spans on-premise data centres and public clouds. The role involves day-to-day configuration, monitoring and security of Fortinet and Cisco infrastructure, as well as supporting a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, monitor and maintain FortiGate firewalls and FortiManager, including firmware upgrades.
• Administer Cisco Nexus switches, routers and wireless controllers (AirOS/IOS‑XE) and implement VXLAN overlays.
• Manage Cisco ISE for identity‑based access control and troubleshoot NSX‑T environments for micro‑segmentation.
• Maintain network connectivity and optimise performance in Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure.
• Develop Python scripts for automation and use SolarWinds for proactive monitoring and alerting.
• Provide L3 troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and support for escalated tickets.
• Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule, respond to critical incidents and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Maintain up‑to‑date network documentation, diagrams, SOPs and generate performance reports.

Required profile

• Degree or certification in IT, networking or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in network operations and administration.
• Relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, VMware NSX‑T, GCP or Azure are highly desirable.
