National Key Account Manager – Consumer Products

About the role

The National Key Account Manager will own and grow MCP's relationships with Canada’s largest retailers. You will drive profitable sales growth through strategic business planning, shelf optimization, and effective negotiation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead national accounts to achieve sales, profitability, and market‑share targets.
• Develop and execute joint business plans, promotional calendars, and assortment strategies with retail partners.
• Build trusted relationships with buyers and key stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact.
• Analyze POS, syndicated, and internal data to uncover opportunities and recommend actions.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Category Management to ensure flawless execution.
• Plan, launch, and evaluate promotions and merchandising events to maximize ROI.
• Act as escalation point for operational or service issues, ensuring rapid resolution.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of account management experience in CPG OTC/HABA.
• Direct experience working with top Canadian retailers.
• Post‑secondary degree in marketing, sales, or business.
• Proven track record of managing national accounts with strong negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
