Technology Sales Area Representative (Part‑Time)

About the role

As a Technology Sales Area Representative at Staples, you will champion the customer experience on the retail floor, helping shoppers achieve their work and learning goals through technology solutions. This fast‑paced, part‑time role combines product knowledge with hands‑on sales and store support.

Key responsibilities

• Connect with customers, identify needs and convert sales opportunities.
• Maintain merchandising standards, including pricing, signage, planograms and promotional displays.
• Provide coverage and assistance across all store areas as required.
• Support asset‑protection and privacy standards by securing inventory and company assets.
• Identify and communicate suggestions for store improvements.
• Stay updated via internal communication channels such as the mobile app and intranet.
• Operate cash registers, follow loss‑prevention measures and ensure clean, safe department standards.
• Prioritise safety for yourself, teammates and customers at all times.

Required profile

• 3 months to 1 year of related retail or sales experience.
• Working towards or completed high school education.
• Customer‑focused with a service orientation.
• Technology‑savvy and eager to learn about new products.
• Bias for action with effective planning and prioritisation.
• Ability to work independently while seeking assistance when needed.
• Curious, approachable, passionate and a solutions finder.
