Mobile Engineer – Remote iOS Contract (up to $85/hr)

About the role

Mercor is looking for a remote iOS Engineer to work with frontier AI coding agents on complex mobile engineering tasks. You will evaluate and improve model‑generated code, ensuring it meets production‑grade standards.

Key responsibilities

• Use AI coding agents (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI) to complete engineering tasks.
• Review model‑generated mobile application code for correctness, quality, maintainability, and performance.
• Identify bugs, edge cases, and failure modes in AI‑produced outputs.
• Compare outputs from multiple frontier models and assess their strengths and weaknesses.
• Apply professional engineering judgment to realistic mobile scenarios.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional iOS engineering experience.
• Experience building and maintaining production iOS applications using Swift and modern iOS frameworks.
• Regular use of AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, or Gemini CLI.
• Ability to evaluate model‑generated implementations and architectural decisions.

What we offer

• Contract rate up to $85 per hour.
• $400 per accepted task (typical tasks take 2–3 hours after ramp‑up).
