Miner 3 – Scoop Operator for Underground Mine

About the role

Join the inaugural team developing a new underground mine in the Red Lake gold district of Ontario. Working on a 2‑weeks‑on/2‑weeks‑off roster, you will support daily production while adhering to strict safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Follow safe working practices and site safety guidelines.
• Operate and maintain ore chutes and conveyor systems.
• Construct and repair support structures.
• Attach and extend ventilation and water pipes and related mine services.
• Assist miners in setting up and operating drills and other machinery.
• Supply and maintain backfill distribution of sand, rock and other materials.
• Maintain supply storage areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High School Diploma.
• Underground common core module training and certification.
• Previous experience as a mine labourer.
• Ability to work independently and as a proven team player.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Willingness to provide a criminal background check and pre‑employment drug/alcohol test.
