Mid‑Senior Android Developer (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose)

About the role

Solidy is seeking a mid‑senior Android Developer to design, develop and maintain high‑quality applications for a wide range of Android devices. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams in an agile environment to deliver new features and continuously improve performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build advanced Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness across diverse devices.
• Maintain clean, well‑organized code and automate testing where possible.
• Fix bugs, optimise existing code and implement updates over time.
• Stay informed about market trends and integrate new technologies to boost efficiency.
• Collaborate with product, design and backend teams to define and ship new features.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging tools and frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
• 3‑6 years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, UI design principles and Google’s design guidelines.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and JSON data.
• Excellent Russian language skills.
• Good time‑management, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Kotlin and Java programming languages.
• Jetpack Compose (layouts, modifiers, animations, navigation, composition locals).
• Dependency injection frameworks such as Koin or Dagger2.
• Networking libraries like Retrofit 2.0 and OkHttp.
• Local data storage with Room Database or Realm.
• Image loading libraries (Glide, Picasso).
• Design patterns (MVVM, MVP, MVC) and Material Design.
• Version control with Git/GitHub.
• Android Studio development environment.
