Methods Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Methods Engineer with a strong aerospace background to join our Mirabel facility. The role focuses on creating and developing manufacturing processes for aircraft detail parts and sub‑assemblies, covering both metallic and composite structures.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise manufacturing processes for aircraft detail parts and sub‑assemblies.
• Develop flow charts and integration procedures for aero‑structural assemblies.
• Perform rework and repair of metallic structural components, including taper‑ratio marking, sanding, and alodine treatment.
• Execute composite repair processes such as ply identification, potting, lay‑up, compaction, bagging, curing and final sanding.
• Apply abrasive machining techniques (deburring, sanding, honing, edge preparation) for shot‑peened parts.
• Implement and maintain NDT methods including FPI, MPI and ultrasonic inspection.
• Support system implementation and manufacturing facility control initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience in aerospace or aircraft manufacturing.
• Proven expertise in metallic and composite structural assembly and repair.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with manufacturing facility control and system implementation.
