Medical Scientific Liaison

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Medical Scientific Liaison to accelerate national adoption of its B·R·A·H·M·S biomarker assays, focusing on maternal‑fetal medicine and prenatal screening. The role combines scientific expertise with strategic engagement to support the company’s medical plan and drive innovative diagnostic solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Educate internal stakeholders and external customers on disease states relevant to the biomarker portfolio, especially prenatal screening.
• Act as a consulting expert to help customers develop pathways and protocols that improve clinical practice and patient management.
• Respond to off‑label medical information requests with balanced scientific and technical assay information, serving as the disease and assay clinical expert.
• Identify, profile, and nurture relationships with Advisors, Key Opinion Leaders, and other influencers in targeted therapeutic areas.
• Attend scientific congresses, conduct medical affairs discussions, prepare conference reports, and generate post‑meeting communications.
• Generate scientific and medical insights to inform the business’s medical and clinical strategy.
• Identify collaboration opportunities with leading researchers and submit proposals to the internal review board.

Required profile

• Graduate degree required; advanced scientific degree (MSc, PhD, MD) with 1‑2 years experience in maternal‑fetal medicine preferred.
• Self‑starter with a passion for advancing patient care through education, scientific engagement, and networking.
• Willingness to travel 3‑4 days per week, including multiple overnight stays.
