Medical Science Liaison – Dry Eye (Montreal)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) focused on the Dry Eye therapeutic area. The MSL will act as a strategic bridge between Alcon and eye‑care professionals, fostering scientific exchange and supporting the appropriate use of Alcon’s products.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a thorough and up‑to‑date knowledge of Alcon products, scientific research, and publications related to dry eye.
• Develop and sustain peer‑to‑peer relationships with eye‑care professionals (ECPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in optometry and ophthalmology.
• Deliver evidence‑based scientific presentations to practitioners, third‑party payors, and internal teams.
• Support investigators in initiating and managing Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs) from concept through grant approval and publication.
• Respond to unsolicited medical information requests and coordinate with the Medical Product Information and Complaint Handling teams.
• Represent Alcon at customer sites, congresses, symposia, and training events as a medical speaker.

Required profile

• Residency in a Canadian metro area with convenient access to a major airport, as extensive travel is required.
• Strong scientific background in ophthalmology or optometry, preferably with experience in medical affairs or clinical research.
• Excellent communication skills for peer‑to‑peer scientific discussions.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
