Medical Manager

About the role

You’ll join Opella as the medical and scientific lead for consumer‑health product portfolios, shaping evidence‑based self‑care solutions for the Canadian market. The role blends strategic medical oversight with cross‑functional collaboration to drive product positioning, lifecycle management and innovative health outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify healthcare trends and translate scientific insights into product development, claim enhancement, and OTC switch initiatives.
• Provide medical leadership for product launches, differentiated positioning, and long‑term lifecycle management.
• Review and approve promotional and non‑promotional materials for medical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor product safety, develop risk‑mitigation strategies, and support pharmacovigilance activities.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen scientific ecosystems and drive data‑driven health solutions.
• Develop and execute local strategic medical brand plans while maintaining high ethical and compliance standards.

Required profile

• MD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent scientific/medical credential.
• Up to 5 years of experience in consumer healthcare, the pharmaceutical industry, or pharmacy practice.
• Knowledge of clinical drug development, pharmacovigilance, risk‑benefit assessment and Canadian regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational skills, detail‑orientation and commitment to scientific rigor.
