About the role
We are seeking a Medical Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of Mercy Medical Clinic. The role involves coordinating information flow, managing patient interactions, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the flow of information within the clinic.
- Interview patients to obtain case histories.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Train staff on procedures and current software.
- Complete insurance and other claim forms.
- Maintain filing systems and establish office procedures.
- Enter and format electronic medical reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, and documents for review.
- Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records.
- Prepare draft agendas, take minutes, transcribe, and distribute meeting minutes.
Required profile
- College, CEGEP or equivalent non‑university certificate/diploma (1‑2 year program).
- 3 to less than 5 years of experience in medical administrative support.
