Mechanical Engineer – Mining & Minerals Projects

About the role

DRA Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Toronto or Montreal office. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will lead engineering and design activities for mining, minerals and metals processing projects from concept through EPC delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical designs following client, industry and legislative standards.
• Validate and integrate certified design information from vendors, contractors and consultants.
• Drive continuous improvement, value engineering and adoption of latest technologies.
• Oversee installation and construction of assigned packages to ensure compliance with project and vendor specifications.
• Inspect, release and manage procurement, fabrication and construction items within the mechanical discipline.
• Participate in DRA’s Total Safety Culture and support commissioning activities.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain proactive communication with project teams.
• Maintain professional client relations, keeping clients informed on technical progress and ensuring DRA remains the preferred engineering service provider.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in EPCM mining and minerals processing environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven ability to work on concept, pre‑feasibility, feasibility, EPCM and EPC projects.
