Mechanical Assembler

About the role

Moog is seeking Mechanical Assemblers to join its Halifax team. You will work on a variety of high‑quality products for marine, defense, renewable energy and medical applications, contributing to the company’s reputation for precision control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Build and assemble mechanical components and sub‑systems according to detailed drawings and work instructions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure product specifications are met.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Identify and report any quality or process issues.

Required profile

• Technical or technologist background obtained through a college program or proven hands‑on experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for working with tools, bikes, cars, or similar equipment.
• Attention to detail, fine motor control and the ability to follow precise assembly instructions.
• Problem‑solving mindset and willingness to learn new skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments.
• Basic knowledge of fiber‑optics handling.
