About the role
We are seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to support AI-driven initiatives across engineering, manufacturing, and operations workflows. This remote, project‑based position offers flexible hours and an hourly rate of $80‑$150.
Key responsibilities
- Support AI‑related work focused on engineering, manufacturing, and operations workflows.
- Design rubric‑style large language model (LLM) prompts and evaluate AI‑generated outputs.
- Create and review structured evaluation tasks for industrial and operational scenarios.
- Assess model reasoning, accuracy, and practical applicability in engineering contexts.
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI system performance and reliability.
Required profile
- Experience as a manufacturing operations leader, petroleum engineer, industrial engineer, or controls engineer.
- Prior experience with rubric‑style tasks (Mercor) preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering and operational processes.
- Ability to design effective prompts and critically evaluate LLM responses.
- Excellent analytical thinking and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
