About the role
The Production Scheduler will plan and oversee manufacturing operations to ensure customer demand is met efficiently and on time. This role coordinates resources, forecasts production needs, and monitors inventory to keep production flowing smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage production schedules that align with customer demand and business goals while optimizing capacity.
- Coordinate material planning, staffing, and machine capacity for production activities.
- Prepare weekly and monthly production plans based on forecasts, inventory levels, and production requirements.
- Balance schedules to achieve optimal use of labor, machinery, and materials.
- Collaborate with purchasing and inventory teams to secure necessary materials and avoid delays.
- Monitor inventory to prevent shortages or overstock and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Track production progress, identify bottlenecks, and propose corrective actions.
- Continuously evaluate schedule accuracy, efficiency, and opportunities for improvement.
