Manager, Enterprise Strategy

About the role

Scotiabank’s Strategy team is seeking a Manager to lead enterprise‑wide and business‑line strategic initiatives. The role involves partnering with senior leaders, conducting deep analysis, and delivering actionable recommendations that drive the bank’s long‑term success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑impact strategic projects (70‑80% of time), providing both hands‑on development and advisory support.
• Design and manage project plans, ensuring deliverables meet timelines and quality standards.
• Gather data, perform financial analyses, and build models to evaluate future state benefits and costs.
• Facilitate problem‑solving sessions, workshops, and interviews with cross‑functional teams and subject‑matter experts.
• Synthesize findings into clear recommendations and implementation road‑maps.
• Drive the enterprise and business‑line strategic planning process (20‑30% of time), including competitive research, benchmarking, and trend analysis.
• Prepare and support strategy off‑sites for senior management and the Board of Directors.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders across a large organization.
• Strong communication skills, capable of presenting insights and recommendations to executive audiences.
