Manager, Cyber Resilience & Offensive Security

About the role

EQ Bank is a challenger bank serving nearly 4 million Canadians. The Manager, Cyber Resilience & Offensive Security is responsible for designing, planning and executing the bank’s Cyber Resilience Testing and offensive security program, including red‑team exercises and threat simulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute the bank’s Cyber Resilience Testing program (red‑team exercises, cyber threat simulations).
• Provide input to effectiveness testing of EQ Bank’s enterprise cyber security controls and roadmap prioritisation.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration to achieve program objectives.
• Maintain standards, procedures and guidelines for the domains under purview.
• Develop and manage measures to ensure effective monitoring, control adequacy and compliance.
• Develop and manage performance measurement of control processes and technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and subject‑matter advice to stakeholders.

Required profile

• College diploma or university degree in computer science or related field, or industry‑recognized certifications (e.g., CISSP).
• Minimum 7 years of technical IT experience, with 3‑5 years focused on offensive security roles.
• Strong knowledge of cyber controls testing frameworks such as the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Preferred certifications: OSCP, OSCE, GPEN, GXPN, CEH, CISSP, CISM.
• Hands‑on security automation and engineering automation experience.
